We are located in a little fishing village 15 minutes north of Ericeira, and a 5 minute walk to the sea. We are 20 minutes from the Mafra Palace, 40 minutes from lisbon and peniche, and an hour away from sintra, obidos castle, nazarè, alcobaça and more. you can easily take day trips into Lisbon, up the coast to Nazare etc.

while you could definitely get along without one, We always advise guests to rent a car. We live in a small seaside village, and while you can take Ubers, and walk to restaurants, butcher, coffee shop and the sea, there is so much more to explore within an hour of our ranch and would be much more convenient to do so with your own car.

yes, we are a 5 minute walk to the sea with a path down to a rocky beach with seafood restaurant and a small fishing village. at low tide, you can explore the tide pools. the closest sandy beach is a quick four minute drive.

Yes we have a few traditional Portuguese restaurants in our village you can walk to, and several more in neighboring villages. Ericeira and Santa Cruz restaurants are a quick 15 minute drive.

It all depends on you and what experience you are seeking. The off season can be quite lovely because it’s very quiet and you can do and see everything without any crowds. Surf is also exceptional in the winter. High Season is considered April - October, weather is amazing and sunny, the villages have festas all summer long. November and December are incredibly charming because it’s the holidays and villages are lit up with lights, there are Christmas markets and it’s magical.

We are in Portugal, there is so much to do and see. Stroll Ericeira, hike along the ocean cliffs, spend the day exploring world heritage sites, palaces, castles and monasteries, visit wineries and go wine tasting, mountain biking, enjoying incredible restaurants, day trips to lisbon, obis, intra, nazare.

The Surf is Incredible We are located in the World Surfing Reserve of Portugal. we are 10 minutes north of Ribeira Dílhas beach, 15 minutes north of the beaches of Ericeira, and 10 minutes south of Santa Cruz.

we are 45 minutes south of Peniche and an hour south of Nazarè.

The best Surf Season is Winter. Surf is amazing all year, but winter is when it really turns on.

You can walk to the market in our village, it has a fish counter and there is a butcher across the street. There is a slightly larger market in Barril 4 minutes away, and if you want a larger shop, Lidl, Intermarche and Pingo Dolce are 10 minutes north.
