the largest horse festival in portugal. the entire town of golegã is built around an equestrian arena in the center. the entire town comes alive during the two weeks of the festival celebrating the Portuguese Lusitano horses. riders parade through the streets with beautiful traditional Portuguese equestrian style. It´s such an incredible once in a lifetime cultural experience, not to be missed.
